Good and Bad News

I was quite suprise to see the result thta was posted yesterday. I never expecct that I did so well, considering the mistake that I did during the examiantion. Besides, I and one of my collegue did the same mistake, but yet both of our results were at two different end. May be is because I got one development case and one respi case. While she got one abdo and one respi case. However, I was not happy with the way I was treated by them. She treated me like I don't deserve it. I was wondering, how can she do this. Then when I calm down and think, then I know that she had ego problem. She cannot let others who she deemed inferior to be better than her. How can people be so selfish. I mean, I am not the best, but there is always someone who is better than another person. No one can be at the top forever. Nothing is consistent. Things always evolves. The only thing that is certain is death. Yet, many people failed to see this.

Sleep

Ask any sleep specialist and they'll tell you that it all begins with good "sleep hygiene." That term refers to the behavioral and environmental factors that precede sleep and that may interfere with sleep. To improve your sleep hygiene:

•Avoid stimulants and depressants starting 6 hours before your bedtime (some would even say after noon). The goal is to prime your body to be appropriately tired at just the right time.
•Don't take naps. As great as they feel, they're going to mess up your sleep cycle.
•Don't study or do anything else in bed besides sleep. This helps train your body so that your bed is the place where you sleep, and getting in bed means "time to get sleepy."
•Dark, quiet, and cool conditions are most conducive to falling and staying asleep.

Like everything, it's all about balance. When you hear people talking about having a balanced life (social life, academic life, work life, family life), they never mention their sleep lives. You get 24 hours in a day to do with as you please, but sleep affects your ability and motivation to do what you want in other parts of the day. Sure, you can be the all-star in rotations and studying and still have a social life, but if you're sleeping 1 hour a night you will fall asleep in lectures, overdose on coffee, and feel cranky all day long. Making sleep a priority is vital to performing well in life. (Think of it this way: If you're getting a good night's sleep, you'll be energized the next day and less sluggish. You could potentially get more done because you're efficient.)

When it's late and I'm studying, I try to recognize my own limitations and the law of diminishing returns: You can only cram so much into your head in one evening. The later it gets, the less able you are to concentrate, analyze, and store the information that you so desperately want. Do you ever find yourself staring at a page trying to read but finding your mind constantly wandering? Alert! Alert! It's tired! Sleep helps you consolidate and lock in facts that you've been learning all day. If you don't sleep, what's the point of all that studying?

That said, even the most dedicated people have times when they simply have to cram. Try this method next time: Study until you start to recognize those diminishing returns, and then throw down a bookmark and go to sleep. Set your alarm for a couple of hours earlier than when you'd normally get up. You'll be surprised how much easier it is to study at 4:00 AM with some sleep under your belt than it is to wade through information at the end of a long day.

Finding the right way to sleep -- and knowing what your own body needs -- is absolutely critical to your success as a physician. Experiment with different approaches, and once you find what works for you, commit to it.

Thesis Have Been Surrendered

Luckily i have printed out on Friday and double check. There were mistake all over..i have to reprint a lot.If I have printed it today...i think i would have submitted the thesis with the mistake along.

Now all this is over!!! I now have to move on to another "OA".
The final exam.... Hate the journals...i am sure everyone do...
So many of them to read but just some of it coming out. Plus I have no idea which is coming out.

Med. gen. was told to have tips...but till this day...no news on that. I guess afterall we have to depend on our own...which is expected. So ppl don't dwell on the hope that the tips will drop from the sky and start digging info for Med. gen. and make sure read extra...I myself will do so too....

Is She Ready? I Doubt It.

Sex in this modern days may be normal especially in the western.
Research shown 90% of gals lost their virginity around 13 to 15 years old.
It is not surprise to know if a young gal have been sexually active.
Sexually active to one partner is 1 thing....
But not with so many partners, yet unprotected sex.
She is so naive...thinking that she is capable of raising a child of her own.
Maybe when she really have what she wished for she will cry!!!
As my lecturer, Dr. Haresh said...." you are also having sex with those that have had sex with her"...."It comes with the package!!" LOL

The Biggest Gamble In A Job

Never take a long shot.
You can be smart, you know a few things, but talent means nothing in this game,if you don't make the right choice.
There's plenty of talented people out there who never see the daylight anymore.
Last thing, it take discipline.
Cause this whole thing is one big long shot.
And if u don't have the discipline to stay away from the "fly", "gambles" or whatever thing else you want to call for a stupid move
Then my friend, i am afraid to say one day you will go down and is inevitable.

You want my advice?
Make a list of everything u want now and then plan and spend the next 25yrs of your life getting it, slowly, piece by piece.

Drug Abuse

Just today in NST, we can see that the drug ahs already penetrate into the secondary school in such a way that it involves sex. Female students are having sex with the pusher to get FREE drung. They who involved int his activities are as young as 13yo. Imagine what will happen to them as they grow older...involve in more crimes perhaps.
THe issue is why this could have happen?? Why are not the school taking preventing measures in this matter?

It was also a suprise that they have discount too... good business??
For every 5 people you intro to buy drugs you get it free for 1 pac. OMG!!! What the hell is all this about??? They are all so young and naive, who should be blamed?
School?? Parents??

I think both should be blamed. THey should have spend time with them...make sure they don;t loiter around after school...and make sure they have just enough pocket money. Hopefully someone can do somethign about this. If not i don;t dare to even imagine what kind of future we are going to face.
